Sunday Shout-Out – Week of April 23, 2017: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for this 4th week of April and our Math PSSA testing. We continue to ask that as parents you help us promote your child’s best performance on these state assessments by continuing to encourage your child to do their best and also by providing your child with support throughout the week in all the other ways you are able. The children worked extremely hard on the English/Language Arts portion of the PSSAs and we are hoping they put forth that same great effort during these three days of Math testing. The Math testing is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We again will limit the amount of after school activities and responsibilities that we ask of children during these days of testing. We will take Friday afternoon to celebrate our 6th and 7th grade students having finished their state testing by hosting a celebration dance and games. Sorry 8th graders, you will need to wait until next week after you conclude your Science testing to celebrate your completion of state testing.
On Saturday please come out to our fields for some family fun as one of our student’s leadership projects is hosting a family fun event to honor our Freemansburg and Bethlehem Police Departments. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In sports this week our girl’s softball team is scheduled to play twice with both games against our Parkland foes. On Tuesday they are at home against Orefield and on Thursday they play at Springhouse. Our soccer team plays three times this week. The team is home against South Mountain on Monday and home Friday against Harrison-Morton. On Wednesday our children play away at Whitehall. Have a great remainder to your Sunday and may our week of Math testing go smoothly and successfully.
