AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: RehearsalsThe schedule for vocal groups is as follows:

*Tuesday, May 9th:  NEMS Vocal Ensembles Concert at 7 PM.  After school groups, please report to NE, wearing white tops and black bottoms, at 6 PM.  The concert is free to the public.

*Wednesday, May 10th:  Mandatory trip meeting for students who are attending the Music in the Parks trip to Lake Compounce, Connecticut. Your parent must be with you for this meeting, which begins at 7 PM.

WORLD PERCUSSIONWorld Percussion, practice is FRIDAY this week. Everyone needs to be there, concert is next week.

DISMISSALAll students are to leave the school building upon dismissal at 3:05PM unless you are signed up and participating in an after school activity.  Students MAY NOT wait in school or on school property for friends or siblings that are attending an activity.  All students who participate in after school activities must also leave the building as soon as their activity is over. Students are not allowed to be in the building unsupervised.

YEARBOOK: Don’t miss out on the memories! Yearbooks are a great way to never forget that you’re #NortheastProud. Don’t wait too long, or they may be sold out. Order forms and money should be submitted to Miss V in room A101. 

PROUD SOCIETY: In order to join the Proud Society and go on the Putt U Proud trip, you must have turned in seven Proud Pounds and a completed Proud Society application. Please turn in your Proud Society application by activity period TODAY! If you do not turn it in by activity period today, you will not be able to go on the Putt U Proud trip.

HOMEWORK CLUB: 7th grade homework club will meet on Wednesday and Thursday this week. There will be NO 7th grade homework club on Tuesday this week. See Ms. Troutman with any questions.

JUNIOR POLICE ACADEMYOfficer Elias is accepting applications for the Junior Police Academy. The Academy runs from June 12th to June 23rd.  Cadets will get educated on the police department and different stages of the legal system. Selected cadets will get to go on field trips and receive presentations from various professionals within public service. There will be daily physical training that the cadets are required to participate in. There is limited spacing and cadets will be selected based on Academic performance and behavior. Applications are to be returned to Officer Elias before May 12th.

NEPTO FUNDRAISER – FRIENDLY’S: Hungry for great food and delicious ice cream desserts? Stop by Friendly’s and benefit Northeast! Where: Friendly’s, 3099 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA 18045. When: 5 to 8 PM, Tuesday, May 16. Includes Dine in, Take out and Ice Cream. Northeast Middle School will receive 10% of ALL SALES from 5-8 so tell all your family and friends! Sponsored by NEPTO. Tell your parents to enjoy a night off from cooking while supporting us!

SPORTSCheer tryouts will be held May 15th-May 18th from 3:05-5:00pm in the main gym. Please come dressed appropriately in comfortable work out clothes. Bring your most recent report card as well.

DANCE TEAMPractice is Tuesday and Wednesday after school this week. Don’t forget we perform for elementary schools Tues & Wed, so bring your dance team shirt! Let’s get ready for the competition this Saturday!

ADVANCED ARCHERYToday will be our last practice before your tournament. Your tournament is scheduled for Thursday, May 11th.  Please remind your parents to bring in a camp chair to sit on if they plan on attending since there is no seating in the auxiliary gym.  The tournament will begin right after school, so please make sure you get to archery promptly on the 11th.  Also please start bringing in your $3 for the end of season pizza party on May 16th.  Money can be dropped off to Mrs. Papagni during homeroom or during practice.
