MAJORETTES: If you are interested in trying out for the Northeast Majorettes for next school year, please plan on attending the practice dates on Monday, April 30th and Tuesday, May 1st from 6PM – 8PM.  Majorette tryouts will be held on Wednesday May 2nd from 6PM – 8PM. Practices and tryouts will be held in the gym.  Please bring your own baton and wear sneakers.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Davis or Mr. Rupnik.

The try-out date for the Liberty High School Majorette Squad is on Wed. May 9, 2018 after school at Liberty HS in the band room.  The candidates trying out will be responsible for learning a 64-count Liberty High School routine AND developing a 32-48 count routine of their own.  The practice and try-out will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Liberty High School as soon as our school day is over. Music is optional if you wish to bring it.  Students are to bring a copy of their most recent report card to the tryout.  Students MUST march during their entire try-out. (They should march during the Liberty High School routine & their own routine.)

AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS:

*Friday, April 13th – All chorus members who are preparing for the Ethan Bortnick PBS Special are to rehearse from 3:10-4:00pm

*Saturday, April 14th – All chorus members who are preparing for the Ethan Bortnick PBS Special are to rehearse from 9:00-10:30 AM…donuts, anyone?

Singers who did not receive music for the PBS special should see Mrs. Parker after school so that you can have it to study, which makes rehearsals even more successful.  Thank you for your time and talent…you make us all NORTHEAST PROUD!

6th GRADE HOMEWORK CLUBHomework Club will start again on Thursday, April 19th after school in room B201. If you are interested in joining, please see Miss Danner for a permission form and list of meeting dates.

SPORTSThe Northeast Soccer team played Broughal on Thursday. They battled on the field in the Varsity game, and possessed the ball wonderful. However, they were unable to put the ball on net and ended with a Tie. The JV team won 3 to 1. Landon Foster scored a goal and an assist. Justin Fleming scored had an assist, and Carlos Diaz and Owen Cassel both scored a goal too. Congrats to our teams. Today, Friday, they travel across the Valley to play against Trexler Middle School in Allentown. Good Luck! Go Hornets!

FUNDRAISERMini Thon merchandise will be sold at all lunch periods this week. Bracelets, headbands, and lanyards will be sold for $1 each. Long-sleeve t-shirts will be sold for $15 each. Every item that you purchase gets you a ticket towards a raffle to win a free Mini Thon t-shirt.  Please help support Liberty high School’s Mini Thon.
