- Thursday, May 17th – No rehearsal – Spring Concert featuring the Chorus, Orchestra, and World Percussion Ensemble, starting at 7 PM. The admission for the concert is $2. Chorus – please report to the chorus room at 6:30 for warmup. Thank you for your talents…you make us all NORTHEAST PROUD!
8th GRADE FAREWELL: Attention 8th grade girls! Still need a dress for the 8th grade farewell dance or graduation? On Thursday, May 17th from 4:30pm-6:00pm you can buy a dress for just $5 at Broughal Middle School’s auditorium lobby! The pop-up dress shop will have over 100 dresses to choose from in all sizes and colors! You just need to bring your school ID and $5 cash. Please see Ms. Albus in student services or check out the Community School Bulletin board outside the cafeteria for more information.
SPORTS: If you haven’t handed in your Team Jersey and Soccer Team Shorts yet, you must give them to Coach Spieker personally. Do not just put on his desk, you must hand it to him right away. Do not be late in giving your jersey to Coach Spieker.
THOUGHT OF THE DAY: The word diversity comes from the Latin word diversus, and it’s interesting because it literally means “turned in different directions”. Henry David Thoreau, great american writer, puts it this way: If a man does not keep pace with his companions… perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured or far. Thoreau is reminding you to be yourself… to be the absolutely unrepeatable, totally original, awesome individual only you can be.
