RALLY 4 PEACE: Attention all Rally 4 Peace performers, there are mandatory rehearsals in the auditorium every day this week during period 2 and after school. Please report to the auditorium immediately after the announcements are over.
RALLY 4 PEACE ICE HOUSE PERFORMANCE: Congratulations to Jillian, Nyra, Narissa, Kira, Nevaeh, Justin, Elijah, Essence, Charli-Ann, and Iyanna for your performance at this year’s Rally 4 Peace at the Ice House yesterday, January 21…your voices, visual arts, talent, and willingness to help make the world a better place was so very appreciated. You made us NORTHEAST PROUD with your knowledge and courage!
SIXTH GRADE FUNDRAISER: Attention All 6th Grade Northeast students!!! Students in the 6th grade class will be holding a 3 on 3 basketball tournament fundraiser of which all proceeds will benefit the New Bethany Ministries to help the less fortunate. The 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be held during periods 8 and 9 at a date to be determined. If you are interested in participating and entering a team into the tournament please see Jahsi Cole and Dywane Chess or Mr. Callahan to sign your team up. The winning team will be awarded a free Pizza Party. Team names and participants, along with the $6 team entry fee ($2 per player) will be accepted until the end of the school day next Friday January 25th.

- WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB: Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 13th in room B201.
- ZOMBIE CLUB: Next meeting will be on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 3:05 – 4:25pm.
THE ARTS:
- AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: NE Singers/Boys Group/Girls Group will rehearse this Friday, January 25th from 3:10-4:00pm
- DRAMA REHEARSALS: The rehearsal schedule for the upcoming week is as follows:
- Tuesday, January 22nd – all cast singing rehearsal from 3:10-5:00. Please bring your script and a pencil.
- Thursday, January 24th – Scene 9 (p. 70-84) – rehearsal for Timon, Pumbaa, Young Simba and Adult Simba
- Saturday, January 26th – Scene 11 (p. 87-91) – Adult Nala, Dancing Lionesses, Lionesses, Sarabi, Sarafina, and Rafiki from 9-10 AM. All cast from 10 AM until noon.
- STEP TEAM: There are mandatory practices: January 23, 25, 28, and 30; 3:05-4:30PM – up until we have the Stomp Show. You need to be at practices or you will not be in the show.
DROP OFF TABLE: Student Services has a drop off table. If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up. Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass. If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.
BOXTOPS: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Derrington or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.
