SIXTH GRADE FUNDRAISER: Ethan and Essence of Team Leaders Rock want to change the world and can’t do it alone. They are holding a jelly bean competition at lunch this week. March 18th through 28th. All grades can participate. If you guess the number of jelly beans in the jar then you will win the jelly beans and a $5.00 Wawa gift card. All guesses cost $1.00. Try as many times you would like to win. But remember, each guess is $1.00. See you at lunch.
SIXTH GRADE FUNDRAISER FOR ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL: Attention all sixth graders of Northeast Middle School! There will be an art and craft period for anyone who brings $3. The date will be announced soon. The activity will take place inside the classroom A211. Make sure to bring your money there. This event is to support the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital that focuses their studies on helping children with cancer.
ACTIVITIES:
- CHESS CLUB: Our next meeting will be on March 26th, Tuesday in room A103. See you there!
- DISC GOLF CLUB: Have you ever wondered what those funny looking metal baskets with chains in county or state parks are? Are you someone who likes the outdoors and would like to combine hiking with a sport? Spring Disc Golf Club might be for you. There will be an interest meeting on Wednesday, March 20th after school for anyone interested. Membership for this club will fill up and if you are not at the interest meeting there is no guarantee you will be able to join. Hope to see you there!
- MATH NERDS: Math Nerds Club is cancelled for today, March 20.
- RUNNING CLUB: Do you enjoy running? Do you want to stay in shape or get in shape for any summer sport teams? Well if you do then join the Northeast Running Club. We will meet by the Health room Monday and Wednesday from 3:05-4:10PM starting March 18th. Come meet Ms. Tandy and Ms. Ayre in room A106 on March 8th right after school to hear about the Running Club and pick up a permission form. All are welcomed. Hope to see you on the 8th.

- AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: The after school vocal groups schedule is as follows. Please see Mrs. Parker with any questions or concerns.

- DANCE TEAM: There is practice today, March 20. Please make sure you have your forms and money to Mr. Huie.

ATHLETICS:
- CHEERLEADING: Cheer Tryouts for next year will begin on April 10th in the Main Gym from 3:30-5:30. All upcoming 7th and 8th graders welcome to tryout!
- FIELD HOCKEY: Anyone interested in learning field hockey or brushing up on their skills please join me for an informational meeting tomorrow, March 20th, after school. 6th graders this means you too! This intramural club will be especially helpful to those students interested in joining the field hockey team next year! Come to Mrs. Korhammer’s room, D202, by 3:10 so we can start the meeting quickly. I’m looking forward to seeing you there!
- SOCCER: Attention all Soccer Players, today is the LAST DAY TO SUBMIT order forms to Coach Spieker for Northeast Soccer Hoodies, shirts, and pants. Please hand Mr. Spieker with the exact cash or checks w/ the order form into an envelope during homeroom in room A108 OR after soccer practice. Any questions please see him during homeroom.
DROP OFF TABLE: Student Services has a drop off table. If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up. Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass. If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.
BOXTOPS: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Derrington or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.
