CALLING ALL HORNETS: Attention Northeast Hornets, come out and support the soccer team on Monday, March 25th. It is the first soccer game of the season, and it is at home against Broughal Middle School. Come and cheer on our soccer players.
SIXTH GRADE FUNDRAISER FOR ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL: Attention all sixth graders of Northeast Middle School! There will be an art and craft period for anyone who brings $3. The date will be announced soon. The activity will take place inside the classroom A211. Make sure to bring your money there. This event is to support the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital that focuses their studies on helping children with cancer.

- DICS GOLFING: Attention disc golfers: Our first meeting will be held on Wednesday April 3rd. We will meet in room A103. See you there!
- WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB: The next meeting will be on Thursday, April 11th after school in B201. Hope to see you there!
THE ARTS:
- AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: The after school vocal groups schedule is as follows. Please see Mrs. Parker with any questions or concerns.
- Mon, March 25 – All after school vocal groups from 3:10-3:30 (this is a change due to a meeting)…rehearsal will end at 3:30. Please plan accordingly.
- Wed, March 27 – All after school vocal groups from 3:10-4:00
- Wed, March 27 – Meeting for 8th grade students who are going on the NYC trip on April 3rd. Eighth graders who are going on the trip, please report to rehearsal once the meeting is over. Thank you.
- Thurs, March 28 – All after school vocal groups from 3:10-4:00
- Sat, March 30 – All after school vocal groups – All City rehearsal from 9:00-noon.
ATHLETICS:
- CHEERLEADING: Cheer Tryouts for next year will begin on April 10th in the Main Gym from 3:30-5:30. All upcoming 7th and 8th graders welcome to tryout!
- SOCCER: Attention all Soccer Players MUST BE AT PRACTICE TODAY, March 21. Soccer Team will be getting their Jerseys today, Practice will be inside, so please wear your flats.
DROP OFF TABLE: Student Services has a drop off table. If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up. Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass. If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.
BOXTOPS: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Derrington or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.
