SIXTH GRADE “ASPCA FUNDRAISER”: Attention 6th graders! We want to help animals in need. By doing that we are having a day where you pay $4.00 to eat lunch outside! All donations will be given to an animal organization called ASPCA. This day will take place next Friday, April 4th. Thank you and see you outside for lunch! Don’t miss it!
SIXTH GRADE “MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION” FUNDRAISER: Attention Sixth grade! Do you want to see Mr. Sawicki, Mr. Rahs or Mrs. Salen get pie in their face? Well come on down and put your money in one of the bins. We will be sitting outside the lunch room at 6th grade lunch. So remember, put your money in one of the bins. The person with the most money will get pie attacked next Friday! All donations will go to Make a Wish Foundation!
ACTIVITIES:
- CHESS CLUB: Our last meeting will be on March 28th, Tuesday in room A103. See you there!
- DICS GOLFING: Attention disc golfers: Our first meeting will be held on Wednesday April 3rd. We will meet in room A103. See you there!
- MATH NERDS: Math nerds will return next Wednesday, April 3rd.
- WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB: The next meeting will be on Thursday, April 11th after school in B201. Hope to see you there!
THE ARTS:
- AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: The after school vocal groups schedule is as follows. Please see Mrs. Parker with any questions or concerns.
- Thurs, March 28 – All after school vocal groups from 3:10-4:00
- Sat, March 30 – All after school vocal groups – All City rehearsal from 9:00-noon.
- DANCE TEAM: Practice will be Monday, April 1 after school. Dance team and step team, do not forget that your next payment is due, also, your permission forms have been due. Mr. Huie needs them back in order to have you guys go to Hershey.
- WORLD PERCUSSION: Practice today, March 28, after school.
ATHLETICS:
- CHEERLEADING: Cheer Tryouts for next year will begin on April 10th in the Main Gym from 3:30-5:30. All upcoming 7th and 8th graders welcome to tryout!
- SOCCER: Attention everyone! Come out today to support the Northeast Soccer Team on this beautiful day. Today they play at home against Nazareth Middle School. The Hornets are looking to keep strong and hopefully work hard for their 2nd win of the season, Go Northeast Soccer!
- SOFTBALL: The Lady Hornets Softball Team added another victory to the win column yesterday, defeating Beca 14-4 in 6 innings. Miya (Mee-ya) Williams had another strong pitching performance, and the Lady Hornets had smart at bats, with almost every player getting on base. The game ended on a walk-off 2-run home run by Molly Devers. Great job, ladies! They will look to keep their win streak alive on Friday at Nazareth.
DROP OFF TABLE: Student Services has a drop off table. If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up. Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass. If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.
BOXTOPS: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Derrington or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you. Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.
