Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our “Northeast Sunday Shout Out” for the week of May 6th. This week our district celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week, and we wish to thank our Parent Association for everything. To us they make every week feel like Teacher Appreciation Week.
Now what do we have this week without any state testing, well almost everything possible. On Monday we host Thomas Jefferson Elementary School as well as our school wide Health Fair. On Tuesday we host all of the Elementary Band & Orchestra students in our auditorium as they practice for Thursday night’s Elementary All City Concert. In between Tuesday and Thursday we will host our own Northeast Spring Band Concert Wednesday evening. Additionally on Wednesday we host all of our middle level second language learners in their annual power vocabulary tournament.
In sports our soccer team takes on East Hills at home on Monday and then they go on the road against Bethlehem Catholic on Thursday and Nitschmann on Friday. Our softball team faces Whitehall at home on Monday. On Wednesday afternoon our girls softball team will play at Freedom High School in the district wide softball tournament.
To end our week we celebrate our P.R.O.U.D. students by hosting our Spring P.R.O.U.D. A-thon along with Music in the Parks. What a way to end our school week, but our Dance and Step Teams have yet another day of fun this week when they compete out in Hershey on Saturday. This is a great way to go into the weekend. Have a wonderful remainder to your Sunday.
