ATHLETIC WEAR: Last week you received an order form for Northeast Athletic Wear. Please make sure you share that with your parents. All orders are due on Friday, 10/4/19. Please give them to your homeroom teacher or you can give them to Mr. Korcienski in room A107.
COPS N KIDS: Cops N Kids Book Drive. Leaders Rock 2.0 is having a Cops N Kids book drive for the next two weeks. We need as many books as we can get! All grades are welcome to donate! Turn your books in to your homeroom teacher. Whichever homeroom brings in the most books will receive a prize! Thank you for helping Cops N Kids!
DINE & DONATE: The athletic department would also like to remind you that we will be doing a Dine and Donate at PJ Whelihan’s on Thursday, October 3, 2019. Flyers will be distributed to homerooms by the end of this week. Please come out and support our student athletes. Any questions see Ms. Coulter or Mr. Korceinski.
POPCORN: We will be selling popcorn for hornet fives on Tuesday, October 8th during all lunches. Save five hornet fives for a bag of popcorn. We will punch the white copy only and you will still be able to use them toward your proud pounds. Please wait patiently for your table to be called to the school store for popcorn on this day. Popcorn… Mmmmmmm.
SCHOOL STORE: The school store will be open for business during activity periods from 8:30-9:00am. We have many items for purchase, from pencils, pens, erasers, to key chains and locker accessories. When you are ready to join the PROUD society, be sure to bring your completed application along with your 7 proud pounds. Please request to come down promptly after activity period begins. ACTIVITIES
- ARCHERY: Attention all beginner and advanced archers: Advanced archery has begun. Most of you have gotten your permission slips from Mrs. Papagni already, but if you haven’t please make sure you see her to pick it up. A reminder to the beginner archers that October 20th and October 27th are mandatory days for archery because of the safety lesson requirement.
- SUPER HERO RESEARCH CLUB: Attention Super Hero Research Club Members, this Thursday will be our second week of Super Hero Research Club. There are openings for people who are still interested in joining. Please grab a permission slip from Mr. Spieker or Ms. Rinaldi.

- AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: Monday, September 30 – NE Singers – all; Tuesday, October 1 – Girls Group; Wednesday, October 2 – NE Singers – all – remember, we will be having dinner before we leave for the performance at Nitschmann. - DANCE & STEP TEAM: Attention students interested in dance team and step team! Mr. Huie will be having auditions for dance team on WEDNESDAY, October 2nd, from 3-4pm. (This is part 1.) For both of these try outs, if you bring your own routine, it is like extra credit. If there are any questions, see Mr. Huie.

- BOYS VOLLEYBALL: Attention all boys interested in trying out for the boys volleyball team. A brief meeting will be held Friday 10/4 in C102 (the Health Room), paperwork and schedules will be given and you CANNOT TRY OUT if you do not have the intramural parent permission forms signed and handed to Ms Schaffrick. (So, no paper no trying out!)If you cannot make the meeting, please see Ms. Schaffrick during Gym class or Health for the papers. Last year was great, but this year should be AWESOME!!!!
- GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Northeast Girls Volleyball split a tough one against Broughal, yesterday afternoon. The Varsity girls came away with two wins against their cross-town rivals, while the JV Team ended with two tough losses. The Team is now focused on their next opponent when they travel to Nitschmann, tomorrow. Good luck, ladies!
DISMISSAL: Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend, please wait outside of the building.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.
