SCHOOL MUSICAL: A special thank you for the 73 students who auditioned for Once On This Island Jr.! The cast list will be posted throughout the building after school on Friday, October 25th. Just a reminder…we all have our first rehearsal on Monday, October 28th from 3:15-5:30. Report to your lockers first before attending the rehearsal in the auditorium. Thank you and congratulations!
WINTER SPORTS PHYSICALS: Last Chance! Attention 7th and 8th grade students interested in playing a winter sport. The BASD along with St. Lukes will be hosting FREE physicals on 10/29/19 from 5-7 pm at Liberty High School’s Auxiliary gym. Please stop by the main office or student services to pick up a PIAA physical form. Those students who played a fall sport just need to pick up a re-eval form. All forms must be turned into our athletic trainer prior to tryouts. Any questions see Mr. Korcienski in room A-107.
ACTIVITIES
- CHESS CLUB: Chess Club will begin on October 30th and run on Wednesdays until December 4th. We will meet in Mr. Wynn’s room, A103 after school until 5:25. Please come to Mr. Wynn’s room for a permission slip. Thank you!!
ARTS
- AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: NE Singers – please be sure to stop by and see Mrs. Parker for a permission slip for both the SteelStacks and Salute the Troops Concert. Boys Group and Girls Group – you are also invited to the Salute the Troops Concert as well. See Mrs. Parker with any questions. Thanks. There will be no after school vocal groups rehearsal during the week of October 21st through 25th. Thank you for your flexibility. NE Singers, please be sure to touch base with Mrs. Parker regarding permission slips and chorus contracts…we have concerts coming up!
- WORLD PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE: First after school practice on Thursday, October 24 until 4pm! Everyone must attend, see you then!
ATHLETICS
- LHS WRESTLING: ATTENTION all 7th and 8th grade students. If you are interested in freshman wrestling there will be a meeting on Thursday, 10/24/18, in the cafeteria at 3:10. The freshman coaches will be giving you information about the team. Please be there right after school. Any questions please see Mr. Korcienski.
- WRESTLING CLUB: Attention 6,7, and 8th grade boys and girls. Starting the week of October 28th Northeast Middle School will be starting an Intramural Wrestling Club for any 6th, 7th and 8th grade student. Intramural forms can be picked up in the main office prior to the meeting or at the meeting, keep listening to the morning announcements for more information. Any questions see Mr. Korcienski in room A107.
DISMISSAL: Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend, please wait outside of the building.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.
