NORTHEAST GOT TALENT: It’s time to start refining your talents for Northeast’s Got Talent Competition. All creative talents are welcome to try-out. From dance, song and instruments to story- telling, art, gymnastics and Rubik’s cube champions – WE WANT YOUR TALENT. Northeast’s Got Talent is a way for you to showcase your gifts and help raise funds for Northeast students and your related arts classes. There will be more information to come in the next few weeks.
PANCAKE BREAKFAST FOR NE THEATRE: Come out and support the NEMSTC Pancake Breakfast, held on Saturday, November 16th from 9-11 AM! Enjoy some pancakes, sausages, and assorted beverages. Tickets are $6…you can pre-purchase tickets from Mrs. Parker or a member of NEMSTC, or buy them at the door on the 16th! Hope to see you at Tocci’s!
PICTURE RETAKES: Picture Retakes will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2019. Students that would like their picture retaken, please bring your complete original picture packet with you on retake day. Also, any students that were absent on picture day or new students please stop by Student Services for a picture order form.
SUPPORT NE THEATRE: On Wednesday, November 27th, Martellucci’s will be hosting a fundraiser for NEMSTC. A portion of the dine-in or carry out sales will go to Northeast’s musical! Please come out and enjoy some delicious food at Martellucci’s! Remember, it’s Wednesday, November 27th…all day! See you there!
THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE: Happy November, students! The annual Thanksgiving Food Drive will start on Monday, November 4. Each homeroom is collecting Thanksgiving items for families in need in our community. There is a box in your homeroom and a list of items to donate. The homeroom in each grade level that donates the most items will win an ice cream party.
ACTIVITIES
- ARCHERY: Advanced archers! Your tournament will be the following Wednesday on November 8th. Please remember to invite your parents and tell them to bring a camp chair to sit on for the tournament since there are no bleachers in the auxiliary gym. Both advanced archery and beginner archery will have an end of archery pizza party on November 8th in Mr. Detwiler’s room. The party will run until 4:00pm. Please bring in your $3 for pizza by November 7th. Good luck to all archers who will be shooting in the tournament!
- BOY SCOUTS: Boy Scouts will begin after school on Tuesday, November 12 in the cafeteria. Any boys interested in joining can pick up a form in Student Services.
- GIRL SCOUTS: Girl Scouts will begin after school on Thursday, November 21 in the cafeteria. Any girls interested in joining can pick up a registration form in Student Services.
- KNITTING CLUB: Knitting club will be starting November 12th. Any student interested in learning how to knit and/or continue to improve his/her knitting skills, come see Miss Ayre in room A206 for a permission form.
- READING OLYMPICS: Attention all 6th grade Reading Olympics team members: Please plan to eat lunch in A207, Mrs. Majczan’s classroom, on Wednesday, November 6th. We will review progress and update book information. If you are getting lunch from the cafeteria, remember to get your lunch on a WHITE DISPOSABLE TRAY, then come upstairs to A207.
- SUPER HERO CLUB: Attention Super Hero Club Members! This is just a reminder that we will have club this Thursday after school in Mr. Spieker’s room. We will continue where we left off from last clubs! If you can’t make it, please see Ms. Rinaldi or Mr. Spieker.

ATHLETICS
- BOYS BASKETBALL: Attention all 7th and 8th grade boys. There will be a 7th grade only boys basketball open gym on Thursday, November 7th from 3:15 to 4:15pm. There will be an 8th grade only boys basketball open gym on Friday, November 8th. See coach Carlstrom if you have any questions.
- CROSS COUNTRY: Cross country runners make sure to turn in your uniform to Ms. Tandy in room A106 and pick up your Proud Pound.
- GIRLS BASKETBALL: The next open gym will be on November 7th from 3:30-5PM.
DISMISSAL: Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend, please wait outside of the building.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.
