Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for our week of January 19th. First may I remind everyone that we are off from school tomorrow, the 20th, for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. In observance of this day may we be reminded of the bigotry and racism still running rampant in our great nation, and may we think of how we can all come together in unity to fight discrimination and hatred. Hopefully our children will see a day when our world lives in peace and harmony with one another, because thus far as a society we have not done what we have had to in order to achieve that Dream!
On to other school news: This Wednesday Liberty High School will be hosting a Parent Orientation Night for its incoming class of Freshman next year. We hope many of our 8th grade parents will be able to make it over to Liberty for this very important meeting. The orientation begins at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Our 2nd semester and 3rd quarter officially start on Friday, so believe it or not our year is half way over.
In athletics this week both our boys and girls basketball teams each have two games. Our boys play both games away and our girls our at home this week. On Wednesday our teams play Springhouse. On Thursday our basketball teams take on Easton. We wish our athletes the best in these and all the games they play. Have a great remainder to your weekend, and a nice day in observance of the Martin Luther King holiday.
