NE GOT TALENT: Good morning Northeast! Please congratulate your 2020 Northeast Got Talent Top 3! Taking third place, “The Gentlemen” performed “Any Way You Want It” by Journey and won the audience to kick off the night. The band includes: Leo Babbin, Connor Dinwiddie, Wesley Koch, Casey Huie, Gracen Frank, Levi Carolan, Max Landis & Ben Graybeal. Second Place went to our veteran Northeast Got Talent contestant, dancer & gymnast Juliana Parra. She won the awe of the audience with her third performance yielding her 1st, 3rd & 2nd places respectively to finish her Northeast Got Talent Middle School career. Winning the heart of the audience and judges was Laura Dunham who took 1st place. Just in sixth grade, but with an old soul, Laura played the guitar and sang her original song, “Pheonix”. Congratulations Laura and Northeast is anxious to hear what you have for us next year! Congrats to all contestants, who put on an incredible performance! We will hold a student performance with the top five contestants this Friday at the end of the day. Entry will be only $2 and is open to all grades and students with good academic and behavioral standing. Come support your classmates and the PUMAS team with this fundraiser!
NE MUSICAL: Students who are no longer in Once On This Island and still have your scripts, could you please return your script to the chorus room at this time. If they are not received by the end of this week, you will be charged $12. Please see Mrs. Parker with any questions or concerns…thank you.
POPCORN: We will be selling popcorn for 5 hornet fives this Friday, January 24th during all lunches. We will be taking the yellow slip from the hornet fives only. Please wait patiently for your table to be called for popcorn this Friday at lunch. Proud society members who are wearing their PROUD shirts will receive free popcorn. Popcorn… Mmmmmmmmmmm.
SPRING SPORTS PHYSICALS: Attention 7th and 8th grade students who wish to participate in Soccer and Softball this spring. The BASD along with St. Lukes is offering two opportunities for you to get your physical completed absolutely free. On Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 5;00-7:00 in the Liberty’s Auxiliary gym, then on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 5:00-7:00 at Freedom’s Main Gym. Physical packets can be picked up at the Main Office, Student Services, or in Mr. Korcienski’s room A107. Any student who played a previous sport this year on needs a reevaluation form filled out and returned to Mr. Korcienski. If you have any questions please see Mr. Korcienski in room A 107.

SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.
