CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to the 8th grade seminar class for winning the top award last night for their entry in the What’s So Cool About a manufacturing video contest! Thank you for everyone who took the time to vote for the video. Our team did not bring home the viewers choice award for the most votes, but Northeast did secure a place at the state level competition in April. If you see any of the students who worked on the video, please congratulate them. They make us Northeast proud! Northeast friends and family, purchase your tickets in advance for the best seats. Tickets will also be available at the door during both performances for $5.

- HEART & SOUL CLUB: CALLING ALL GIRLS! Do you love having fun with friends? Do you want to set goals and make them a reality? Do you like to run? If you said yes to any of these three questions, you should join Heart & Sole! This program was made for middle school girls just like you. At Heart & Sole you will run, laugh, dream and lots more! Heart & Sole meets one day per week after school for 10 weeks starting March 10. Pick up a registration form in Student Services and return it by February 28. Registration is first come, first served until the roster is full. Don’t wait–register NOW!

ATHLETICS
- BOYS BASKETBALL: Attention all 6th Grade boys. There will be a boys basketball open gym this Thursday after school from 3:15 to 4:30. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Carlstrom.
- GIRLS SOFTBALL: Attention 7th and 8th Grade Girls interested in softball, there will be two open gym opportunities for you to attend prior to tryouts. Open gym will be held on Thursday, 2/27 from 3:10 to 4:30. Any questions please see Coach Korcienski or Coach Rinaldi.
- SOCCER: Attention all Northeast Soccer Players, there will be 1 open gym for all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade for soccer after school March 5th until 5pm. Tryouts for the Northeast Soccer team will only be for 7th and 8th graders starting the week of March 9th. Tryouts will last until 4:45pm. Please have your physicals or Re-certs handed in to Coach Spieker in room A109. You cannot start Tryouts until your PHYSICAL OR RE-CERTS are handed in. Please bring cleats and Sneakers, warm close, water bottles for the start of Tryouts on March 9th. If you have any questions, please see Coach Spieker in room A108 on the 7th Gr. Floor.
DISMISSAL: Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend, please wait outside of the building.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.
