THOUGHT OF THE DAY:Today is Veteran’s Day, a day set aside to honor those who have served in the American armed forces. Do you know someone who has served in the American armed forces?…a parent or relative, a teacher or neighbor? Now is a great time to thank them for service to our nation. You might ask them where they served and for how long. How did their time in the armed forces affect them? What was good about the experience? What did they learn from it? On this Veteran’s Day, remember this: Honoring a veteran today can mean nothing more than a simple acknowledgment and a sincere thank you, one human being to another.
BREAKFAST: Attention all students: The cafeteria is now serving free breakfast and lunch meals for all students every day until the end of December. You heard that right… free breakfast and lunch meals! All students automatically qualify and no form needs to be submitted. Take advantage of this program and join us in the cafeteria for your free breakfast and lunch each day that you are in school.
LUNCH: Students can drop off money for deposit in the morning to the breakfast cashier or Mrs. Cabrera. The money or check must be in an envelope with the student’s name and ID number. All funds will be deposited onto student accounts after the breakfast service. Cashiers will not accept cash during lunch.”
SAFE: It’s SAFE to Tell. The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. It’s now safer and easier to tell: just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find ONLINE in your guidance counselor’s resources folder. Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.” Thanks for being AWESOME!
