THOUGHT OF THE DAY: We’ve all heard about climbing the ladder to success. Luis Nogales is an exceptional climber. He climbed his way up from the crop fields to the president’s office of the United Press international, a news service. His climb was made easier because of his love of learning – something he inherited from his father, a migrant farm worker who traveled from field to field with a small library of books. Luis Nogales has traveled the world and here’s what he said about his travels: As I travel and worked with people from different countries, I am even more convinced that this is the greatest society in the world today for people to better themselves and achieve. We are fortunate to live in a country that offers so many opportunities to so many people. Today, take a moment to be grateful for the opportunities you have as an American citizen to educate yourself and to achieve your goals.
