Thank you!

SOCCER: It was a tough loss for the Northeast  Soccer Team on Tuesday this week. They  fought hard in the first half. Izeahvian  Benetiz, Emily Alter, Brian Sebring, Justin Park, Jonathan Rosario-Pena, Shane Burk Barry, and Mikyel Finely were phenomenal in assisting their teammates and keeping Whitehall on their toes the first half. Only down 2-0 at halftime, the Hornets tried in  the second half to tie it up. Unfortunately, the game ran away from them, but the  Hornet Soccer team kept their heads high. Keep up the hard work. Please come out the next few weeks for the Northeast Soccer team playing at home. Go Hornets!

THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Most of you have probably seen a mosaic at some time in your life. Can you picture  a mosaic? It’s a beautiful design made up of many small pieces of colored glass or stone. Individual pieces are carefully placed side by side until together they form a beautiful work of art. Former President Jimmy Carter believes that Americans, living side by side, form a beautiful mosaic of human beings. Listen to his words: We [are] not a melting pot, but a beautiful mosaic – different people, different beliefs, different yearnings, different hopes, different dreams. Without all our different colors, shapes, sizes, religions and philosophies; our nation wouldn’t be as beautiful or as powerful. Today, think about the beautiful mosaic of human beings living in America.

LUNCH: Do you bring your lunch from home? If you do, you can add a fruit, veggie and milk for free!!! That’s right! You can jazz up your lunch in the cafeteria with a fruit, veggie and milk for free if you bring your lunch from home. Bon  appetit!!

SAFE: It’s SAFE to Tell. The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. It’s now safer and easier to tell: just fill out the SAFE to Tell  form which you can find ONLINE in your  guidance counselor’s resources folder. Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.” Thanks for being AWESOME!

DISMISSAL: Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend please  wait outside the building.

WATER FOUNTAINS: Water fountains are only to be used to fill up water bottles and not to be used for getting drinks. Students are allowed to bring a water bottle with them every day and are encouraged to do so!
