Good afternoon Northeast Families and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the week of May 9th. First let us start off by saying Happy Mother’s Day to all of our very deserving mothers. It is not easy being a parent in this day and age, and in particular during this pandemic, so on this special day we hope all of our mothers realize just how grateful we are for all that you do. Happy Mother’s Day today and every day.
Now as this month of May continues here at school our 8th grade students are beginning to gear up for their life at Liberty High School. This week Liberty will be releasing a welcome video for the 8th graders to view that will prepare them for what lies ahead in their high school career. Also, we are looking forward to the summer plans we are offering our students. Please look online for the summer experiences we are offering and should you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s guidance counselor or to our Community School Coordinator, Kim Bush.
Take some time off from cooking and head to Martellucci’s Pizzeria on Tuesday for our Northeast Eats Out day planned by our wonderful Northeast Parent and Teacher Organization. Martellucci’s will give Northeast a percentage of all sales from May 11th. They have a great selection of pizzas, sandwiches, pasta, salads and more to satisfy your appetite. We thank our NEPTO group for organizing this event, and we thank Martellucci’s for supporting our school.
Finally, in sports this week we end our softball season with two games. On Monday our girls play at Nitschmann, and then on Wednesday our girls play here for their final home game against Easton. Our season on the field has been a great experience for our girls, and we are PROUD of what they have accomplished.
