Home / Daily Announcements / Sunday Shout-Out for the Week of June 6, 2021

Good afternoon Northeast Families and Friends. Here is our last Northeast “Shout Out” for the 2020-2021 school year. This year has been like no other, and truly we hope none of us ever have to go through a pandemic like this one again. The district is looking forward to coming back next year 5 days a week with hopefully minimal restrictions and restraints.

Regarding this last week of school, we start out with our annual 8th grade virtual “Moving Up Ceremony” which will be aired beginning tomorrow, Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. One blessing is the memories of our Moving Up Ceremony will be able to be viewed for a lifetime. We wish all of our 8th grade students the best as they move on from their middle school years into the high school, and we know so many of them will make us all Northeast P.R.O.U.D.

As we close out this school year, we hope many of you have signed up for our summer camp which we are offering to our students in July. Please look online for the summer experiences being afforded to children and should you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s guidance counselor or to our Community School Coordinator, Kim Bush.

Finally, our last two hybrid school days of the year, Thursday and Friday, will be early dismissals for our students. Children will be dismissed at 11:30 am. We do have a lot of fun and entertainment planned for those two days together as we showcase the talents of many of our students virtually with our end of year talent show. We wish we could be ending the year with all of children together, but it was just not meant to be. We will miss our children during the summer months but look forward to welcoming back next year’s 7th and 8th graders, and we look forward to being introduced to our incoming 6th grade class. Please look for your opening of school letter containing next year’s homeroom sometime during the 1st week in August. Next school year begins on Monday, August 30th. Have a wonderful summer and remember to READ!!!!
