ATTENDANCE AWARENESS: Happy Attendance Awareness Month! Did you know that missing just two days of school each month means that you are chronically absent? That’s right, just missing two days is a big deal. Why? Missing a day of school is like missing 8 TV shows that everyone else is talking about! When you return to the classroom, you’ve missed what everyone else did the day before and you are lost. After a while, these missed days add up. Coming to school every day is vital to your success. Attend today; achieve tomorrow!
MASKS: Students – Please remember that it is your responsibility to bring your own mask to wear every day while you are at school. It is also your responsibility to take your mask home at the end of the school day or dispose of it properly if it is torn or no longer usable. Do not throw it on the school grounds, on the street or on our neighbor’s yards. Take pride in yourself and your school, and do the right thing.
ACTIVITIES
- ARCHERY: Please remember to get your t-shirt order forms completed and returned to Mrs. Papagni by next week. If you misplaced your order form please stop in and pick up another one.
- CHESS CLUB: Chess club is cancelled for today, Sept 30th.
- CHORUS: 6th grade chorus members are to meet in the auditorium on Thursday, September 30th during Hornet Block, Day 4. Please enter on the cafeteria side.
- DANCE & STEP TEAMS: Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, Mr. Huie is looking for boys and girls for the Dance Team and the Step Team! Step Team auditions start on THURSDAY, September 30, and Dance auditions start on MONDAY, October 4. They will be after school in the auditorium, until 4pm. See you soon!
- MUSICAL: Students…it is time to “raise your voice”! This year‘s Northeast Middle School Theatre Company’s musical is Sister Act Junior! Listen closely to announcements over the next few weeks about when and where to audition! Can’t wait to see what talent lives in our great school!
- WORLD PERCUSSION: Your first practice is THURSDAY, September 30, during Hornet Block. Please look at the list by Mr. Huie’s room to see if you made it. See you soon!
