Hello Hornet Nation! This is the Sunday shout out for October 24th. This week we celebrated our School Spirit Week, culminating in an outside pep rally on Thursday during the day and the football game in the evening. It was wonderful to see all the students enjoying themselves & participating in the activities and seeing families watch our football team earn a victory over Broughal Middle School.
I would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Roy for joining us for our PTO meeting last week. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to discuss district-level plans with our families. We would like to increase our participation in our PTO meetings. At the next meeting, on November 17th, we will raffle off a $25 Wawa gift card.
Our next PTO event will be family movie night on Saturday, November 6th at the Liberty softball field. This will be an outdoor event so bundle up and join us for some fun. Families are invited to come out and bring a blanket and enjoy the night. The gates will open at 5:30pm and the movie Hocus Pocus will start at 6:30pm. The PTO will have concessions available. Remember that this is a family event and adult supervision will be required for each child. We hope you can come out and enjoy the evening. Please see the attached flyer.
Coming up this week on Friday the 29th we will have our walkathon. This is a fundraiser event that helps support our after-school activities. Please see the attached flyer with QR code to donate to our school. Thank you all for your cooperation and support.
