GIRLS BASKETBALL: Attention 7th and 8th grade girl interested in girls basketball. Please mark your calendars. There will be open gym at Liberty High School. Whether you would like to prepare for the girls Northeast Basketball season and tryouts or would just like to practice basketball skills and have fun, come out on any of the following dates 9/11, 9/13, 9/18, 9/20, 9/25, 9/27, 10/2, 10/4, 10/9, 10/11, 10/16, 10/18, 10/23, 10/25, 10/30, 11/1 for open gym basketball from 2:45 – 4:15 pm. PICTURE DAY: Picture Day is scheduled for Thursday, September 21. Orders can be placed online (fliers are posted on the Northeast website) or if you need an order form, please stop by one of the offices.
CHESS CLUB: Want to learn how to play chess? Improve your chess skills? Join the chess club! Our first meeting is on Wednesday, September 27th from 3:30 – 4:30 pm. Sign up forms can be found outside of Mr. Angerman’s classroom on the third floor. Turn them in directly at room A305 or send it to his email.
WORLD PERCUSSION: 8th grade students trying out for world percussion ensemble, if you talk to Mr Huie on Wednesday then he emailed you with an audition time. If you would still like to try out for world percussion, then please see Mr Huie ASAP.
HEALTH ROOM: The Nursing Office will be doing Make Up Screenings for Absent students and rescreening for students who forgot their glasses. Screening passes will be given to homeroom teachers. Screenings begin at 8:30. Students/teacher please be prompt for screening time! Thank you!
Sports: Congrats to the Northeast Cross Country Team! The boys did great, with Quentin Brown coming in first for Northeast Runners and 10th overall out of 156 runners! Also, congrats to Abby Hackett, coming in 2nd for Northeast, 10th overall out of over 90 girls. Elizabeth McClarin from Northeast came in 1st place overall for the girls! Both Quinton and Elizabeth ran their 2 mile races in under 6 minutes and thirty seconds a mile! Everybody on the cross country team finish the two mile race and made us all Northeast proud!
