HORNET BLOCK HAPPENINGS DAY 2: Jazz Ensemble
AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: The only rehearsal for this week is on Thursday, November 9th from 3:15-4:30 for Boys Group, Girls Group, and Northeast Singers in preparation for this Sunday’s Salute the Troops Concert, to be held here at Northeast on November 12th. Is your ticket order in for your family? Please see Mrs. Parker for any questions, concerns, and ticket order forms. Tickets are $5 each. If your family purchases the tickets on the day of the concert, it will be $10 per ticket.
MUSICAL: The entire cast is invited to the read-through of the musical on Monday, November 13th from 3:15 until 5 PM. Thank you for your talent and flexibility as we prepare for this musical journey.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS: Students who remain after school for any after-school program including sports must report directly to your practice, club or rehearsal directly after school. You may not leave the building and then come back into school. You will not be permitted to come back in the school once you leave. Once your after-school program is over, you must leave the building. You may not go to your locker or anywhere else in the building, so please be sure you have everything you need to go home before reporting to your activity. No student is allowed to remain in the building unsupervised.
CHEERLEADING: Attention all Fall Sports Cheerleaders, you must return you entire Cheer Gear in a plastic Bag with your name on it. It must be clean and given to Mr. Spieker right away. Attention 7th and 8th graders who want to tryout for the Winter Cheerleading Team. If you are interested in trying out for the Cheerleading team, please get a Sports Physical Form from Mr. Spieker or the Main Office. You will need a Physical Form completed in order to Tryout. Tryouts will be after school Friday November 10th 3:15pm to 5pm in the Main Gym. If you have any questions, please Mr. Spieker or Coach Sunni.
BOYS BASKETBALL: Attention 7th Grade Boys ONLY, if you are interested in trying out for Northeast Boys Basketball, there will be an open gym after school in the Auxiliary Gym after school tomorrow/this Friday Nov. 10th. It will be for an hour after school and be done by 4:15pm. Coach Elias said to please wear proper clothes and footwear or you cannot participate.
FUNDRAISER: NORTHEAST IS STARTING OUR ANNUAL ONLINE FUNDRAISER! WE ARE RAISING MONEY FOR FUN SCHOOL EVENTS. THIS YEAR WE ARE MAKING IT A TEAM COMPETITION! IT’S SO EASY. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CLICK THE LINK OR QR CODE, AND FIND YOUR TEAM. YOU CAN DONATE ONLINE, OR BRING A CASH DONATION TO SCHOOL. IT’S EASY TO EMAIL OR SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA. THE TEAM WITH THE MOST PARTICIPATION EVERY TWO WEEKS WILL WIN A PRIZE! ON NOVEMBER 10TH THE PRIZE IS CUPCAKES AND GAMES SUPPORT YOUR TEAM AND MAKE US NORTHEAST PROUD!
SPIRITWEAR: NORTHEAST MS SPIRITWEAR 2023 IS NOW OPEN! FIND ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN PICKED OUT SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUR TEAM. THERE IS ALSO SPIRITWEAR AVAILABLE FOR YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS. ASK YOUR HR TEACHER FOR DETAILS OR FIND ONE OF THE FLIERS HANGING AROUND THE SCHOOL WITH A QR CODE.
FOOTBALL: ATTENTION ALL FOOTBALL PLAYERS. IF YOU STILL HAVE ANY EQUIPMENT, JERESYS, & PANTS FROM THE FALL FOOTBALL SEASON, YOU MUST HAND THESE IN RIGHT AWAY. THIS IS SCHOOL PROPERTY. FIRST, ALL FOOTBALL UNIFORMS MUST BE WASHED CLEAN. 2ND, ANY OTHER GEAR, NEEDS TO BE WIPED DOWN CLEAN. 3RD, YOU MUST PUT THESE IN A LARGE PLASTIC BAG WITH YOUR NAME ON IT. FINALLY, YOU MUST HAND THIS IN TO MR. SPIEKER IN ROOM A206. PLEASE GET THIS DONE RIGHT AWAY. DO NOT LET MR. SPIEKER HUNT YOU DOWN. IF HE DOES, COACH CODY WILL NOT BE HAPPY.

FOOD DRIVE: DON’T FORGET TO GIVE BACK THIS HOLIDAY SEASON! STUDENT LIGHTHOUSE IS RUNNING THE SCHOOL WIDE FOOD DRIVE FOR THANKSGIVING! BE SURE TO CHECK THE ITEMS ON THE LIST AND DONATE WHAT YOU CAN TO YOUR HOMEROOM! THE HOMEROOM THAT BRINGS THE MOST ITEMS WILL RECEIVE A REWARD! ALL ITEMS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2023!
