Hello Hornet Nation.

Attention Students and Families,

As we look ahead to our end-of-year celebrations, we want to share important information regarding eligibility for upcoming events, including the 8th-grade dance, PTO dances, and other end-of-year activities.

Beginning March 2nd, students who are chronically absent or tardy may risk losing the privilege of attending these events. “Chronically absent or tardy” is defined as having more than 5 absences or late arrivals within a single marking period.

Students who have already reached a chronic level of absenteeism during the first two marking periods will be meeting with their teams, parents, and guardians to discuss their attendance and eligibility for end-of-year activities. As a reminder, students are expected to bring a parent note any time they are absent or late to school.

We truly want every student to be part of these special celebrations. Students who show improved attendance going forward will be considered for participation in future events. Families of students who are not eligible will be notified no later than May 8th.

Teams will also be sharing this information directly with students. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out — our goal is for every student to participate in a memorable end-of-year experience. Thank you for your support!

Our Community School Resource Table is a “give and take” space that provides shelf-stable food and hygiene items for students and families in need. It began during the government shutdown and has continued to be a valuable, accessible support right here in our school building.  If you’re interested in contributing, we have an Amazon wishlist that makes donating quick and easy. Or you can drop off items in student services. Thank you for helping us care for one another!  Amazon Resource Table Wishlist
