Sunday Shout-Out – Week of December 11, 2016: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the week of December 11th. With the weather forecast this week I want to just remind everyone of our school delay and school closing procedures outlined in our student planners and also always posted on our district’s website. Please note that our district does utilize the call out system for all weather related delays and closing. Hopefully we have a beautiful winter without many disruptions to our school calendar, but more importantly let us all be safe.
On to school news. This Thursday we hold our winter concert for both our student body as well as for our community. Please come help us celebrate the season during our evening concert. The program starts at 7pm, and we can guarantee it will bring you joy! Also this Thursday our mid quarter progress reports will be accessible on-line in our schools’ Home Access Center. In our Home Access we have the links to all of our student management systems where, as a parent, you can view your child’s progress in all of the major academic areas on a daily basis. Should you have questions or need assistance in accessing these resources please reach out to your child’s team leader, guidance counselor or contact Mrs. Rincon in our school’s main office. If you do not have computer access and wish to have a paper copy of your child’s academic process, please call Mrs. Rincon. Our Northeast Parent Teacher Organization is looking for parents who are willing to bake cookies for a NEPTO cookie exchange for our teachers. Parents interested in doing so can bring the cookies in on Friday the 16th to the Main Office. Our NEPTO officers and teachers thank you in advance for your generosity.
Finally this week we start our winter athletics with both our boys and girls basketball teams beginning league play. Our boys and girls have games on Monday and Thursday. On Monday our girls play at home against Orefield as our boys travel to Orefield for their opener. On Thursday our JV girls and our JV boys play Nitschmann at Nitschmann. What a great way to begin our season playing our cross-town rivals. We wish all of our students the best this week on the court and on the stage as they showcase their talents in wonderful ways. Have a great remainder to your weekend.
