AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS & NEMS THEATRE COMPANY: Rehearsals:

*Thursday, February 16th – no rehearsal – make sure you attend Student Led Conferences!

*Friday, February 17th – no rehearsal – enjoy your day off!

*Saturday, February 18th – this is a new rehearsal added to the schedule, from 10:00 AM until 1 PM…see Mrs. Parker with any concerns…

*We are in the home stretch…biography forms and ad forms are due as soon as possible. If there are any students who are interested in designing a t-shirt for our musical, please see Mrs. Parker with any questions. Please keep your academic classes in order!  Make us Northeast PROUD!

ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE CLUB: We will have our last meeting on Tuesday the 21st.  We will have our Zombie themed party so please bring a snack or drink to share.  Your gruesome creativity will be celebrated so feel free to bring snacks to match.

NEPTO FUNDRAISER – FIVE GUYS: Five Guys Burgers and Fries are fantastic! And they have other food for purchase to benefit Northeast Middle School! Tell your family and friends to Five Guys burgers and fries from 3 – 10pm Tuesday, February 21, and NEPTO receives 20% of all sales! When: 3 to 10 PM, Tuesday, February 21, 2017 Where: 914 Airport Center Drive, Allentown, 18109 (Target shopping center)

RALLY FOR PEACEJust a reminder to those of you invited to our Rally For Peace pizza party, it will be held Wednesday the 22ND at 3:05pm in Miss Doncsecz’s room A206.  

WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB: The next meetings for World Language Club will be February 23 after school in Miss Danner’s room from 3:05-4:25pm!

DEBATE CLUB: The next Debate Club meeting will be held Thursday, February 23rd at 3:05 in room A105. All members are asked to attend. Any new people interested are also welcome. Any questions, please see Mr. Gross or Mrs. Schenk.

WORLD PERCUSSION ENSEMBLEWorld percussion ensemble, we have practice the next day 1 in school during activity. Next week on Thursday, February 23, 2017 after school, ONLY the horns and strings will practice after school.

MATH NERDS ROBOTICS & ARCHERY STUDENTSAttention all prior members of math nerds, robotics club and archery: Mrs. Papagni has a stack of proud pounds that were never picked up from these clubs.  If you were a member of math nerds, robotics or archery and did not pick up your proud pound, please see Mrs. Papagni in room B305 during homeroom or after school to pick them up.

DISMISSALAll students are to leave the school building upon dismissal at 3:05PM unless you are signed up and participating in an after school activity.  Students MAY NOT wait in school or on school property for friends or siblings that are attending an activity.  All students who participate in after school activities must also leave the building as soon as their activity is over.  Students are not allowed to be in the building unsupervised!

SPORTSAll students attending the Northeast basketball games must remain in the gym during the games.  Students may visit the concession stand or the restroom if needed at halftime or between game periods but may not continue to wander in and out of the gym.  Students are also reminded that all school rules apply during the games and proper behavior is required.  Students should come to the games to cheer on their teams and enjoy the competition. 

*Anyone interested in competing in a 2 on 2 basketball tournament starting next week can sign-up with Miss Schaffrick in her room as well as pick up permission slips. The permission slips are due by Tuesday to John the trainer in the gym. Tournament will begin next Tuesday after school. Final day to sign up is this Friday by the end of the day. Brackets will be posted next week. So grab a partner and sign up. If we can get enough students to sign up, we will have 2 separate tournaments, 1 for students with not much experience playing basketball and another with those that have more experience in basketball. Again final day to sign up is this Friday, you can sign up with Miss Schaffrick, and you must return to your permission slip to John the trainer in the gym or Miss Schaffrick by Tuesday.

BOXTOPS: Box Tops! Box Tops! Box Tops! Student Leadership received our check for over $700 from Box Tops. Let’s try for $500 more by March 1. Box Tops sheets will be sent home with report cards. Please fill in a sheet and bring it in. Notice the Box Tops are trimmed and attached. Do not use staples. We will have another raffle in March. The prize will be afternoon admission to the Proud-A-Thon! Thank you so much, Box Tops Committee!
