Sunday Shout-Out – Week of April 30, 2017: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is the “Northeast Sunday Shout Out” for the first week of May. Eighth grade will be finishing the LAST ever PSSAs they will need to take as they finish up their Science testing on Monday and Tuesday. All of our children have made us extremely Northeast P.R.O.U.D. during our PSSA testing!
May is always one of our most active months of school as we finish welcoming our in- coming sixth grade students and exit our 8th graders to the high school. We are proud this week to host the elementary All-City Orchestra and Band with rehearsals and their performance Thursday evening. On Friday we invite our incoming 6th grade students to join us for our end of year 6th and 7th grade dance.
On Thursday our Team Active students will be cheering on the Iron Pigs during one of the education days at the ballpark. Also to end our week our Student Leadership Committee will host its annual Walk-A-thon Friday afternoon to help raise money for the less fortunate. Quite a start to a busy, busy month here at Northeast!
Finally for this week’s Shout-Out we tell you about another full week with our Spring sports teams. Our soccer team plays twice and our softball team three times this week. Our softball team has a home game against Whitehall on Tuesday and then is away on Thursday against Easton and Friday against Dieruff. Our Soccer team is away on Tuesday against Broughal and away Thursday against Nazareth. Have a great remainder to your Sunday as we welcome in the Days of May!
