Week of October 1, 2017: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the first full week of October. There will be an electronic copy of the Mid Quarter Progress report available for viewing after this Wednesday through the Parent Portal. The official midpoint for the quarter was September 29th . If you need assistance or access to your Parent Portal information please call the main office at 610-868-8581 and ask for Mrs. Rincon. As we have stated on numerous occasions, please access your child’s grades and progress daily on the Parent Portal in order to keep updated and informed of your child’s progress. All teachers are using Schoology on a regular basis and this student information system is excellent in providing information on your child’s daily progress in their classes. Should you have any concerns about your child’s progress and grades, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your child’s guidance counselor or Team Leader.
This week is rather quiet here at Northeast regarding evening events. We do have our Team Active heading down to Theodore Roosevelt Park for their fall field trip. One thing we want to emphasize this week as we are getting into full swing with our before and after-school activities and clubs is communication. If your child is involved in one of our “extra-curricular” activities, please communicate with one another the particulars of the activity and ways and means of pick up or drop off here at school. With so much happening it is important that parents know the details of what the children are doing and how they are getting to and from the activity of which they are involved.
We end our “Shout Out” with our schedule for our fall sports teams. Our field hockey team plays three times this week. We are at home against Nazareth on Monday, and we face Broughal at home on Friday. On Wednesday our field hockey team is away at Lower Macungie. Our volleyball team plays twice this week. On Tuesday we are away against Nitschmann and then home against Lower Macungie on Thursday. Also on Thursday our cross-country runners have a meet at Parkland. To finish out the week, our football team plays East Hills at home on Saturday. The game starts at 9 a.m.
Have a great remainder to your weekend!
