SPORTS: Bethlehem Area School Districts free sports physicals for fall athletes will be tomorrow June 5th at Freedom High school from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. All students athletes must have their Physical packets filled out to receive their physical. The physical packets can be picked up in the main office. All 6th and 7th grade students who are interested in a fall sport and missed the meeting on May 21 should see Mr. Korcienski in room A107 so he can get your information to pass on to coaches.
THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Dr. Blandina Cardenas Ramirez was a lucky little girl. Her father taught her a very important lesson early in life – the importance of learning from others. Here’s what Dr. Ramirez says to us today: I am eager to learn from others whether it is a person doing their homework or someone at the highest level of government. My father believed you could learn from “un peon o un presidente” … a farmer or a president… and you should respect both equally. Dr. Ramirez grew up with some valuable wisdom. She eventually served under former President Jimmy Carter as the commissioner of the Administration for Children, Youth, and Families. Her eagerness to learn from others helped her become an extraordinary American.
