BREAKFAST: Early morning breakfast began Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Breakfast begins at 7:40am. Any student interested should report to the cafeteria and check in with Mr. Anderko and Mr. Katynski.
AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: Returning NE Singers members: please see Mrs. Parker briefly after school on either Wednesday, August 29thor Thursday, August 30thfor a check of your singing register as well as important NEBOPO information regarding this year’s Music in the Parks trip. Can’t wait to see you! If you cannot attend either of those days, please see Mrs. Parker ASAP or contact her via Schoology. Be ready for a great year ahead!
If you wish be in one of the after school vocal groups, you must audition. To audition for Boys Group, Girls Group, or NE Singers, please report to the chorus room on one of the following days:
- Wednesday, September 5th from 3:15-4:30
- Thursday, September 6th from 3:15-4:00
- Friday, September 7th from 3:15-4:00
Please remember – you must be a member of chorus in order to be a member of any of the after-school groups. Hope to see you for auditions! Get involved!
ACTIVITY DAYS (DAYS 1 &4) CHORUSES: Students who are interested in singing in our chorus will be hearing sign up information shortly. Remember – the chorus meets during activity period and has two concerts: one in December and one in May. First chorus rehearsal will be on Monday, September 24th. Signups will happen during homeroom in the next few weeks.
DRAMA – NEMS THEATRE COMPANY: Students who attended our Lion King rehearsal last Wednesday…thank YOU for your time and talent! You made it a BLAST!
If you are interested in trying out for this year’s musical Disney’s The Lion King Jr., there will be a rehearsal on Thursday, August 30th, from 6-7:30 PM in our auditorium. Please be dressed to dance – no flip flops, please…sneakers are best to move in. We will be both singing and learning African text as well. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Parker. This is NOT an audition…those will take place at the end of October. Hope you can join us this Thursday!
DROP OFF TABLE: Student Services has a drop off table. If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up. Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass. If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.
BOXTOPS: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Derrington or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.
