CHORUS CONTRACTS: All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade chorus members are to return their chorus contracts as soon as possible. Please return them to Mrs. Parker in the chorus room. Thank you for a great start to rehearsals this week!
DANCE TEAM: All students, Dance Team try outs are tomorrow, Friday, September 28. See you tomorrow! We should be finished around 4:30ish.
STEP TEAM: Practice will be on Wednesday, October 3, from 3:15 to 4:30 PM please bring sneakers or boots for practice we will meet in the gym lobby.
CROSS COUNTRY: The Cross country team showed up in style in our A & A Limo yesterday to the Lower Macungie race. Everyone ran well. Jacob Brandes, Gus Bresswein, Andrew Rumbalski, and Josiah Adams had powerful finishes. Joey Blevins ran an awesome run after being out for a week. Ryan Aburto returned strong after last weeks unexpected racing conditions. Najow Turk, Meia Stapleton and Mikailyn Matacavage continue to improve each week and make us Northeast proud.
ART CLUB: On Monday October 1st, the Art club will not meet due to a faculty meeting. We will meet again on Thursday October 4th.
ARCHERY: Please remember that Friday the 28th is a mandatory archery day for your team. We will be finishing the last of the required safety drills and taking our first shots. Please go to Mrs. Papagni’s room (B305) as soon as school is over. Please remember to bring all of your safety equipment as you will need your equipment to take your first shots.
WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB: Are you interested in learning about a new language and culture? Join World Language Club! The sign-up sheet and permission slips are outside Señorita Danner’s room B201. Space is limited to 25- the first 25 to hand in a completed permission slip will be able to join World Language Club!
CREATIVE WRITING CLUB: Northeast’s brand-new creative writing club will be starting Wednesday October 3rd from 3:10-4:10pm! If you’re interested please see Miss Rinaldi in A112 to get a permission slip.
BREAKFAST: We are excited to announce that Northeast Middle School now has breakfast extended until 8:15 am. Students will be permitted to stay in the cafeteria until 8:25 am. Students with free lunch also may receive a free breakfast. Reduced student breakfast is $.30. Paid student breakfast is $1.85.
To help celebrate please join us in the cafeteria as we take the all-american favorite banana split and make it a breakfast special. For the week of September 24th-28th, you can build your own Lickity Split! Choose one or both varieties of yogurt and create your own masterpiece from a selection of toppings!
ESTE ROCKET CLUB: 6th &7th grade students who are interested in the after-school Este Rocket Club, may pick-up a permission slip in Room A-203 Mr. Flok.
CHESS AND BOARD GAME PLAYERS: Students 6th Grade through 8th Grade are welcome to engage in chess playing to competitive mini tournaments with specialty chess boards and small life-size pieces as well as fun filled and challenging Board games that run from RISK to Monopoly! Learn rules and new games that builds on math concepts and sportsmanships. Chess Club Starts on Wednesdays October 3rd and Strategic Game Board Club starts in November 7th on WEDNESDAYS! If you have any questions see Mr. Spieker room A108 and/or Miss Vanderstel room A101 on the 7th Grade Floor! Please stop by to pick up forms and permission slips! FORMS are outside Mr. Spieker’s room and FORMS are inside Miss Vanderstel’s room. Any questions please see them.
DROP OFF TABLE: Student Services has a drop off table. If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up. Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass. If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.
BOXTOPS: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Derrington or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you. Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.
