Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the week of October 14th. First I want to thank all of the parents, guardians and others that were able to come in to school this past week to spend some time with us during our district’s celebration of American Education. During this coming week we will have parents and grandparents here again as we host our Northeast Parent Teacher Organization on Wednesday. Our parent association meets at 6:00 p.m. in our school’s LIBRARY. This meeting will be a special training for parents in the use of Schoology, which will help you, stay on top of your children’s schoolwork. Our Band Parent meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the band room immediately follows our NEPTO meeting.
Again this week we have a tremendous amount of “Fall” happenings with our students. Our band and color guard have two parades over the weekend. On Saturday they march in the Nazareth parade and on Sunday they turn around and participate in Hellertown’s Halloween Parade. This week we have our final Field Hockey game on Monday when they play in the championship tournament at the BASD stadium. Hopefully the game ends our season with a win. On Thursday we celebrate students chosen by our teams during our monthly Hornet Lunch. Also Thursday, our Cross Country team has its final meet, the Liberty Invitational. The meet is run at Illick’s Mill. Our Football team plays Saturday at East Hills at 9 a.m.
Finally we announce our “Fall Harvest” Dance Friday evening. Our dance is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and all students enter our school by the cafeteria. Students love to wear their Halloween Dress for this dance, but please note that students will not be permitted to wear masks over their face or dress in costumes of a violent or overly gruesome nature. If you have questions of appropriateness of your child’s dress please do not hesitate to call and ask our office staff. Also note that students are not permitted to leave early from the dance without parent notification. This is for their safety.
Have a great remainder to your weekend!
