ACTIVITIES:
- TRACK & FIELD: Attention 8th Grade Students: Track and Field practices begin Monday, April 22 at 3:30pm. Team Grit should sign up with Mrs. Frederick in room A313 and Team Dream with Mr. Reiss in room A304. We look forward to having great teams!
THE ARTS:
- DANCE TEAM/STEP TEAM: Dance team and Step team, do not forget that your next payment is due, also, your permission forms have been due. Mr. Huie needs them back in order to have you guys go to Hershey. Step team, there is practice Monday, April 15. Dance Team, there is practice Wednesday, April 17.
- WORLD PERCUSSION: There is practice Tuesday after school next week. We look forward to seeing everybody and getting ready for the spring performances.
ATHLETICS:
- SOCCER: Congratulations to the Soccer Team on Friday! They destroyed Trexler Middle School 11 to Zero! The defense was great with team goalie Owen Cassel and Ryan Fleming! Ryder Paulus and Derek Reusser both had two awesome assists, while Miguel Gomes and Jeffrey White each had one a piece for goals! Jack Huie, Bennie Villeda, Natalya Teran, Lily Dwinell, and Jeffrey White had a goal. Williams Castillo and Nathan Santos both had a HAT TRICK WITH 3 goals a each. Today, the Northeast Soccer Team will travel to Raub Middle School! Go Hornets!
- SOFTBALL: On Friday, the Lady Hornets Softball Team defeated cross-town rival Broughal to even their record at 4-4. The girls fought through the rain and cold to score 16 runs and end the game early thanks to the mercy rule. It was a great team effort! After an away game today, the team plays at home again on Wednesday.
DROP OFF TABLE: Student Services has a drop off table. If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up. Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass. If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.
BOXTOPS: Want to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Derrington or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.
