ACTIVITIES
- CHESS CLUB: Chess Club will begin on October 30th and run on Wednesdays until December 4th. We will meet in Mr. Wynn’s room, A103 after school until 5:25. Please come to Mr. Wynn’s room for a permission slip. Thank you!!
- DISC GOLF: We will leave on Monday for our field trip to Hannover Township disc golf course at 1:00pm and return to school at 5:00pm. Please wait to be called down to the cafeteria entrance. See you then!
ARTS
- AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: The rehearsal schedule is as follows: Wed, Oct 30 – All after school vocal groups from 3:15-4pm NE Singers – all from 4:00-4:30pm. All Girls Group/Boys Group/NE Singers: Please turn in the various permission slips for the many concerts we have ahead as soon as possible. See Mrs. Parker for any information you may need. NE Singers – any student who is not in an instrumental group with Mr. Rupnik is to report to the chorus room to pick up a rainbow packet. There are fundraisers going on that we don’t want you to miss out on. Also, we are planning for our spring competition. Thank you.
- CHORUS: All students in chorus are to hand in their chorus contract in to Mrs. Parker as quickly as possible. If you did not receive one, please come to the chorus room during homeroom.
- MUSICAL: A special thank you for the 73 students who auditioned for Once On This Island Jr.! The cast list will be posted throughout the building after school on Friday, October 25th. Just a reminder…we all have our first rehearsal on Monday, October 28th from 3:15-5:30. Report to your lockers first before attending the rehearsal in the auditorium. Thank you and congratulations!
- STAGE CREW: If any students are interested in becoming a member of our NEMS stage crew, please see Mrs. Klose. This is open to 7th and 8th graders only. Thank you!
ATHLETICS
- FOOTBALL: If you would like to order a Football City Championship t-shirt or hoodie please see Mr. Korcienski in room A107 for an order form. All orders are due to Mr. Korcienski no later than Friday, November 1, 2019.
- WINTER SPORTS PHYSICALS: Last Chance! Attention 7th and 8th grade students interested in playing a winter sport. The BASD along with St. Lukes will be hosting FREE physicals on 10/29/19 from 5-7 pm at Liberty High School’s Auxiliary gym. Please stop by the main office or student services to pick up a PIAA physical form. Those students who played a fall sport just need to pick up a re-eval form. All forms must be turned into our athletic trainer prior to tryouts. Any questions see Mr. Korcienski in room A-107.
- WRESTLING CLUB: Attention 6,7, and 8th grade boys and girls. Starting the week of October 28th Northeast Middle School will be starting an Intramural Wrestling Club for any 6th, 7th and 8th grade student. Intramural forms can be picked up in the main office prior to the meeting or at the meeting, keep listening to the morning announcements for more information. Any questions see Mr. Korcienski in room A107.
DISMISSAL: Students please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend, please wait outside of the building.
SAFE TO TELL: It’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you. Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.
