THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Do you think youʼre tough? Then listen  up! Todayʼs words of wisdom are  especially for you: Tenderness and kindness are not signs  of weakness… but signs of strength. When we have a strong sense of self esteem and a strong character, itʼs easy  to be kind to others because weʼve earned to be kind to ourselves. Do you remember the following words from  Aesopʼs fables? No act of kindness is ever wasted. Today, show some real strength. Be kind  to others and allow others to be kind to you. You might be surprised at  just how strong you really are. Being educated means a different thing  to people. Listen to the words of Norman  Cousins, American writer: Respect for the importance of an  individualʼs life is still the mark of an educated man. When we show no respect for lives of  others… When we are hateful or harmful  to others… are we acting with intelligence and wisdom or are we acting  out of ignorance? What do you think? German writer and philosopher Goethe says: Nothing is more terrible than ignorance  in action. Violent crimes, drug addiction, terrorism…  do these things show respect for individual  life or does it show “ignorance in action”?  Today, remember this: You can help fight crime, violent and ignorance by simple  getting the best education possible

BREAKFAST: Attention all students: The cafeteria is now serving free breakfast and lunch meals for all students every day until the end of December. You heard that right… free breakfast and lunch meals! All students automatically qualify and no form needs to be submitted. Take advantage of this program and join us in the cafeteria for your free breakfast and lunch each day that you are in school.

LUNCH: Students can drop off money for deposit in the morning to the breakfast cashier or Mrs. Cabrera. The money or check must be in an envelope with the student’s name and ID number.
