HALLOWEEN CRAFTING EVENT: Northeast Middle School will be holding a Halloween Crafting Event on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 4:30-6:30 PM. Students can choose between pumpkin painting and pumpkin carving. Students will also learn how to roast pumpkin seeds and make a Halloween Craft. Please fill out the Google Form to sign up for this event. https://bit.ly/NEMShalloween There is a limit of 20 students for this event. Your family will also have to sign a permission slip in order for you to participate. For questions, please see Miss Davies in student services. 

GIRLS BASKETBALLAttention 7th and 8th grade girl interested in girls basketball. Please mark your calendars. There will be open gym at Liberty High School. Whether you would like to prepare for the girls Northeast Basketball season and tryouts or would just like to practice basketball skills and have fun, come out on any of the following dates 9/11, 9/13, 9/18, 9/20, 9/25, 9/27, 10/2, 10/4, 10/9, 10/11, 10/16, 10/18, 10/23, 10/25, 10/30, 11/1 for open gym basketball from 2:45 – 4:15 pm. Contact Coach Jarrett Carnes Junior at JCARNES@basdschools.org if you are interested. 

*Attention all 7th and 8th grade girls who want to try out for the Girls Basketball Team. There will be an after school Interest meeting with Head Coach Weaver and Asst. Coach Schaffrick on Thursday Oct. 12th in the Cafeteria. It will take 15 minutes. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Weaver or Mrs. Schaffrick.” 

FALL SPORTS BANQUETAttention all FALL sports Athletes. The Northeast MS FALL Sports Banquet will be on Tuesday October 24th 5pm to 6:30pm. Please see your coaches or Mr. Spieker to purchase your Family Ticket. The Family ticket is $5, Cash Only. If you are attending, you must have your guardian complete the Google Form Link on the ticket after purchase. 

BOYS VOLLEYBALLAttention all Boys. There will be an interest Boys Volleyball Meeting after school Weds. Oct. 11th in the main gym. Please come to pick up Permission slips and listen to Coach Schaffrick and Mr. Spieker. 

GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALLThere will be a Girls Flag Football Club run by Miss Miller and Miss Ryan. If you are interested, please meet after school in the Cafeteria on Tuesday October 10th. This meeting is required due to a Permission Slip that needs to be completed. The meeting will only be for 15 minutes. Any questions, please see Miss Miller, Miss Ryan, or Mr. Spieker.”

INTRAMURAL WRESTLINGTHERE WILL BE AN INTRAMURAL WRESTLING MEETING AFTER SCHOOL TUESDAY OCTOBER 10TH IN THE CAFETERIA. AT THE MEETING, STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE A PERMISSION SLIP THAT NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATED. ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT INTRAMURAL WRESTLING, PLEASE SEE MR. KATYNSKI, MR. HENNING, OR MR. SPIEKER. 

LACROSSEDO YOU LIKE LACROSSE? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS? WELL GOOGLE IT! L-A-C-R-O-S-S-E IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT LIKE IT, THERE WILL BE A 3 DAY LACROSSE INTRAMURAL LATER THIS MONTH. PLEASE COME AFTER SCHOOL ON THURSDAY OCT. 19TH IN THE CAFETERIA FOR AN INTEREST MEETING AND TO GET A PERMISSION FORM. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE SEE COACH SOLITARIO OR MR. SPIEKER. 

CROSS COUNTRYCONGRATS TO THE NORTHEAST CROSS COUNTRY TEAM! IN THE BOYS RACE, JOEL RAMIREZ AND QUINTON BROWN FINISHED 3RD AND 2ND FOR NORTHEAST RUNNERS. 8TH GRADER EFREN RAMOS FINISHED 1ST OUT OF THE NORTHEAST RUNNERS! 

FOR THE GIRLS, NATALIE TORRES JAHN AND ABBY HACKETT CAME IN 3RD AND 2ND FOR THE NORTHEAST GIRLS, AND 8TH GRADER ELIZABETH MCCLARIN CAME IN 1ST PLACE OVERALL! THAT MEANS THAT SHE WAS UNDEFEATED THE WHOLE SEASON, WINNING EVERY RACE SHE WAS IN! 

ALL OF THE RUNNERS TEAM RAN WELL AND DEFEATED THE COURSE! SPECIAL THANKS TO EFREN WHO TWICE THIS SEASON RAN BACK AND HELPED HIS TEAMMATES FINISH THEIR RACES! NORTHEAST PROUD!
