HALLOWEEN CRAFTING EVENTNortheast Middle School will be holding a Halloween Crafting Event on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 4:30-6:30 PM. Students can choose between pumpkin painting and pumpkin carving. Students will also learn how to roast pumpkin seeds and make a Halloween Craft. Please fill out the Google Form to sign up for this event. https://bit.ly/NEMShalloween There is a limit of 20 students for this event. Your family will also have to sign a permission slip in order for you to participate. For questions, please see Miss Davies in student services.

GIRLS BASKETBALLAttention 7th and 8th grade girl interested in girls basketball. Please mark your calendars. There will be open gym at Liberty High School. Whether you would like to prepare for the girls Northeast Basketball season and tryouts or would just like to practice basketball skills and have fun, come out on any of the following dates 10/23, 10/25, 10/30, 11/1 for open gym basketball from 2:45 – 4:15 pm. Contact Coach Jarrett Carnes Junior at JCARNES@basdschools.org if you are interested. 

WRESTLINGWrestling Practice Starts Tuesday immediately after school in the auxiliary gym. Please Bring sneakers and shorts. It’s not too late to get a permission forms from Mr. Katynski or Mr. Spieker. 

CHEERLEADINGAttention all Fall Sports Cheerleaders, you must return you entire Cheer Gear in a plastic Bag with your name on it. It must be clean and given to Mr. Spieker right away. 

*Attention 7th and 8th graders who want to tryout for the Winter Cheerleading Team. If you are interested in trying out for the Cheerleading team, please get a Sports Physical Form from Mr. Spieker or the Main Office. You will need a Physical Form completed in order to Tryout. Tryouts will be after school Friday November 10th 3:15pm to 5pm in the Main Gym. If you have any questions, please Mr. Spieker or Coach Sunni. 

ALL SPORTS BANQUETAttention all FALL sports Athletes. The Northeast MS FALL Sports Banquet will be on Tuesday October 24th 5pm to 6:30pm. Please see your coaches or Mr. Spieker to purchase your Family Ticket. The Family ticket is $5, Cash Only. If you are attending, you must have your guardian complete the Google Form Link on the ticket after purchase. 

WORLD PERCUSSION: There is practice this morning during hornet block. See you then!

FUNDRAISERNORTHEAST IS STARTING OUR ANNUAL ONLINE FUNDRAISER! WE ARE RAISING MONEY FOR FUN SCHOOL EVENTS. THIS YEAR WE ARE MAKING IT A TEAM COMPETITION! IT’S SO EASY. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CLICK THE LINK OR QR CODE, AND FIND YOUR TEAM. YOU CAN DONATE ONLINE, OR BRING A CASH DONATION TO SCHOOL. IT’S EASY TO EMAIL OR SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA. THE TEAM WITH THE MOST PARTICIPATION EVERY TWO WEEKS WILL WIN A PRIZE! 

THIS WEEK THE WINNING TEAM WILL HAVE A FREE PERIOD TO PLAY GAMES OUTSIDE. ON OCTOBER 27TH THE PRIZE IS A HOT CHOCOLATE BAR 

ON NOVEMBER 10TH THE PRIZE IS CUPCAKES AND GAMES

LATE STUDENTSALL STUDENTS COMING IN TO SCHOOL LATE MUST ENTER THROUGH THE CAFETERIA DOORS FROM 8:10 AM – 9 AM. AFTER 9 AM, LATE STUDENTS ARE TO ENTER THROUGH STUDENT SERVICES. 

PROUDTHIS MORNING YOU WILL RECEIVE A P.R.O.U.D. LANYARD TO USE DAILY WITH YOUR NORTHEAST ID. THIS LANYARD REPRESENTS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A COMMUNITY MEMBER OF THE NORTHEAST MIDDLE SCHOOL COMMUNITY.
