John Callahan is Director of Business Development for the law firm Florio Perrucci Steinhardt and Fader. He also is involved in all levels of real estate development for Peron Development, including the sourcing of land, negotiation a purchase agreement, project financing, planning, design and regulatory approvals.
He served as mayor of Bethlehem for 10 years where he ushered in more than $2.2 billion in economic development which led to the creation and retention of more than 5500 jobs. Callahan has been a leading advocate for smart growth, sustainability and innovation. He was awarded the 2009 Governor’s award for local government excellence, in part for his efforts as the longest serving president of the PA League of Cities and Municipalities.
John serves on the boards of 10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, Urban Land Institute, and the Minsi Trail Council for Boy Scouts of America as well as a member of Bethlehem Rotary.
He is a graduate of, as well as adjunct professor at, Moravian College.
John and his wife Mafalda and three children are all very proud products of BASD. John understands how important great public schools are to the strength of a community.
