The Freedom girls basketball team really wants another shot at District 11 Class 6A gold after falling short in the championship game against Northampton last season.
In order to reach the final on Friday night, the Patriots had to get past a very pesky Pocono Mountain West team in the semifinals.
Second-seeded Freedom rallied from a five-point deficit in the first half and fought off the sixth-seeded Panthers in the second half to clinch a 48-42 victory on Tuesday night at Catasauqua High School.
