When Greg Moore left the Central Catholic football coaching staff after the 2011 season, several Lehigh Valley programs pursued him.

His decision to join coach Jason Roeder at Freedom 7 1/2 years ago has given him a rare opportunity in 2019.

Moore will coordinate the defense Friday when the second-seeded Patriots host No. 7 Emmaus in a District 11 Class 6A quarterfinal. Two of his seven sons, senior Kaden and sophomore Braelin, will start on the defensive line as Freedom tries to hold the EPC South’s rushing leader, Brandon Camire, in check.
