This temporary district employment opportunity offers a pay rate of $12.00 per hour. The position runs from June 10 through August 15, 2025, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a 1-hour lunch break. Pre-planned commitments or vacations will be taken into consideration.

The Information Services Department of the BASD is looking for approximately 8 high school students to assist with Summer IT work. Students will receive real-world technology experience in some or all of the following areas: 

  • Chromebook setup and deployment.
  • Laptop imaging, setup, and iPad configuration.
  • Team-based task completion and other duties as assigned.
  • Students will be assigned to a team and primarily work with one or more year-round staff members, while assisting in various schools within the district.
To take part in this opportunity, students need to meet the following criteria:
  • Must be entering junior or senior year of high school for the 2025-2026 school year.
  • Have a valid work permit.
  • Be able to climb a ladder of at least 10 feet and work at heights above ground level.
  • Be able to lift, carry, push, and pull hardware/equipment weighing at least 30 lbs.
  • Submit a resume for review and be prepared for an interview. Resume reviews and interviews will be conducted by staff from the Information Services Department.
  • Perform tasks such as technology inventorying, deployment, equipment testing, and lab setup.
  • Have a valid PA driver’s license and access to a car, or otherwise be able to provide your own transportation to and from work daily (may work in different schools).
  • Be motivated, dependable, willing to learn, able to follow directions, and have a strong willingness to complete a variety of tasks.
  • Assist with technology equipment recycling and moving.
If selected, you must attend a BASD HR department employment meeting and submit all required paperwork by the deadline provided by HR (failure to do so will result in the offer being rescinded).
