General Announcements


  • ALL SENIORS:  This is the last call for any senior to make a change to how your name is listed on the diploma. Eligible changes would include: omitting your middle name, using an initial in place of your middle name or adding a tilde above a letter in your name.  Please see use the ‘Diploma Name Change Request’ form emailed to you or see Mrs. Falcone in the principal’s office.  The deadline has been extended until 4/16/25.

  • Seniors and Juniors-  Prom tickets will be on sale after school in the cafeteria on the following dates:
    • Wednesday, April 16
    • Wednesday, April 23
    • Monday, April 28
    • Wednesday, April 30 (this is the absolute LAST DAY you can purchase a ticket

*Check your BASD email for more information regarding what you need to purchase a  Prom ticket!

  • Need help with homework, an essay or studying for a test?  Do you just need a place to study or read a book?  Homework Club teachers and National Honor Society tutors are available Tuesdays through Thursday right after school in room 334 to assist you.  Hope to see you soon!
  • Student Government nominations are now open for the next two weeks. All requirements can be found on the Student Government website. Posters have been hung that include a QR code that will take you directly to the site. If you have any questions, please reach out to Dr. Walsh or Ms. Stair.
  • Liberty High School is hosting their annual College Fair: Wednesday, April 23rd 8:30-10:30 am in the Memorial Gym. There will be over 80 colleges represented at the fair and includes technical schools, and 4 year colleges and universities. All students are encouraged to attend.
  • AP Exam Important Message:  If you registered for an AP exam in the Fall or Spring please check your email. You must complete the Google form that was emailed to you regarding your College Board account.
  • Attention Class of 2025!  Any Senior interested in running for the faculty-selected graduation speaker or class-selected graduation speaker should complete an application and email it to Ms. Corrigan (scorrigan@basdschools.org). The faculty-selected graduation speaker application is due by Friday, 4/11 at 3:00 PM.  The class-selected graduation speaker application is due by Friday, 4/25 at 3:00 PM. Applications are available on Liberty’s website. 
  • Attention Juniors!   Liberty will be participating in the following college visits:
      • The first college visit  is to Kutztown University on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. This visit will include an information session and campus tour. We will be leaving Liberty at 9:15 AM and returning around 1:30 PM. Lunch will be provided. Space is limited to 30 students – first come, first served. If you are interested, please see the attached permission form or pick one up in SSC 112. Permission forms are due on Tuesday, April 15 to either Ms. Vazquez in SSC 112 or Ms. Seng in SSC 400. 
      • The second college visit is to Moravian University on Thursday, 4/24/25.   We will be leaving Liberty at 9:30 am and walking to Moravian. We will return to Liberty by noon.  Students will participate in an information session with Admissions and have a campus tour.  If interested, please pick up a permission form in SSC 800.  Permission forms are due April 22 to Mrs. A.  Space is limited to 30 students.
      • Lastly, Liberty will be participating in a college visit to DeSales University on Friday, 4/25/25.  We will be leaving Liberty at 9:30am and returning around 1:30pm.  Students will have an information session with Admissions and a campus tour.  Lunch will be provided.  If interested, please pick up a permission form in SSC 800.  Permission forms are due April 21 to Mrs. A.  Space is limited to 30 students.We hope many students will take advantage of this college visit opportunity!

LIBERTY THEATRE  presents: Mamma Mia   4/24 –  4/26/25


  • 2025 Yearbooks are NOW ON SALE ! Our 100th edition of Liberty’s yearbook, The Cauldron will be on sale until May 2, 2025. Order forms can also be picked up in room 001. See Mrs. Gilliard with any questions.
  • VISIT THE SCHOOL STORE Room 42, bottom floor of the commons building. Open every day during 3rd block Come & Get  Snacks ,Drinks , Ice cream and Liberty Merch

  • Information Services Department is seeking approximately (8) high school students to assist with summer IT work. This is a temporary position that pays $12/hr.  Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, June 10th through August 15th. Students must be in their junior or senior year for the 2025-2026 school year, have a valid work permit, drivers license and car or be able to provide their own transportation to and from work. Must be motivated, willing to learn, dependable, follow directions and complete various tasks. Students need to be able to climb a ladder at least 10 ft tall, work at heights above ground level, lift, carry, push and pull equipment weighing at least 30lbs. ATHLETICS

Attention students interested in trying out for cheerleading Registration is open for the 2025-2026 season! If you haven’t already signed up, please scan the QR code on one of the posters or go to the libertyhurricanes_cheer instagram account for the registration link.

Open Gyms will be held April 28- May 1 from 6PM – 7:30PM with Tryouts being held on May 2 at 6PM. Email kyounes@basdschools.org with any questions!


Clubs & Organizations


Category 6 Steppers Anyone interested in joining the step team for the 2025-2026 school year should report to an informational meeting on Tuesday, April 22nd after school in LHS Cafeteria. 

The Latino Youth Leadership Club  will be selling chicken, beef, beef & cheese, and cheese pastelillos  $2 each  outside of room 038 on Wednesday, April 16 during all lunches. Grab them before they’re gone!


Guidance

Juniors & Seniors!  Please join us for Liberty’s annual College Planning Night,  Wednesday April 30th 6:30-8:30PM.  Parents and students will meet in the auditorium for an introduction to the information sessions that will take place in the KCC starting at 6:50pm.The sessions that will be offered are: Private & Selective College Admissions, State-Related Universities (i.e. PSU), PA System of Higher Education, Dual Enrollment, NCC, Financial Aid, NCAA Eligibility Center, SAT vs. ACT & Test Prep and Net Price Calculators for Financial Aid.  Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to hear from higher educational institutions on tips for preparing for college!. 


Community Service Do you consider yourself patriotic? Do you place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem? Do you feel proud when you see the flag flying high or wonder what happened when you see it’s at half staff?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, you might be the right person to raise and lower the flag outside LHS and earn community service hours doing it.  See Mr. Wuchter in SSC 103 to learn more.
