General Announcements


AP Exam Important Message:AP Testing begins on Monday, May 5 , and runs through Friday, May 16.  You can view the full LHS AP Exam Schedule on the LHS Website or on the LHS Guidance Website under “Advanced Placement (AP).”  Please check your school email for detailed information. Any questions, please see Ms. Seng in SSC 400.


  • Need help with homework, an essay or studying for a test?  Do you just need a place to study or read a book?  Homework Club teachers and National Honor Society tutors are available Tuesdays through Thursday right after school in room 334 to assist you.  Hope to see you soon!

  • All students, especially students taking Keystones, should check their Chromebooks 1st block. If a student has a Chromebook issue they should be sent  to the Library during Block 1 ONLY. IT will be set up with a table OUTSIDE of the Library (across from 800 office)only during block 1.

  • Library, End of Year: The last day to check out books is May 16, 2025. All books are due back by May 30, 2025

Graduating Seniors! Before you graduate, please be sure to download anything you want from your BASD Google account to a personal gmail account prior to leaving. Check out directions at bit.ly/basdtakeout25 for more information! Seniors will lose access to their Google accounts July 1, 2025.   • Information Services Department is seeking approximately (8) high school students to assist with summer IT work. This is a temporary position that pays $12/hr.  Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, June 10th through August 15th. Students must be in their junior or senior year for the 2025-2026 school year, have a valid work permit, drivers license and car or be able to provide their own transportation to and from work. Must be motivated, willing to learn, dependable, follow directions and complete various tasks. Students need to be able to climb a ladder at least 10 ft tall, work at heights above ground level, lift, carry, push and pull equipment weighing at least 30lbs. Clubs & Organizations


LHS Majorette squad  Auditions for the LHS Majorette squad will be held on Monday, May 12 at 4:30pm in the Band Room. All interested candidates will learn a routine on the day of tryouts, and should come prepared with a 48-64 count routine of their own. Please see one the current majorettes or stop by the Band Room to talk to one of the directors, if you have any questions. 

Video Production – On Thursday 22nd, Video Production will have a meeting in 002. We will be discussing plans for next year.  If you have participated or are interested in participating you are strongly encouraged to attend.  See Mr. Bittner with any questions or for more details.

Glimmers As we settle into May, we are excited to kick off our 2nd annual Glimmers of HeART project! Glimmers are the opposite of triggers and bring us positivity and good vibes. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, our students have been busy creating mini artworks meant to inspire and uplift. These pieces will be hidden around the school for all to find and be inspired by. If you find one, you may keep it or re-hide it to keep the positivity flowing.


Guidance


Community Service Do you consider yourself patriotic? Do you place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem? Do you feel proud when you see the flag flying high or wonder what happened when you see it’s at half staff?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, you might be the right person to raise and lower the flag outside LHS and earn community service hours doing it.  See Mr. Wuchter in SSC 103 to learn more.
