THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Do you remember John F. Kennedy’s famous words? Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. Here’s the question of the day: Are you contributing to the world, your country, your school, your family, or do you have a case of “The Gimmes?” Gimme this. Gimme that. Gimme more. Gimme better. Gimme. Gimme. Gimme. Well, here’s my bulletin: A “gimme” attitude will – in the end – get you nothing. The Yugoslavs say it this way: Who asks at once for much, returns home with an empty bag. Today, remember this: It’s important to balance receiving with giving. Take a look. Are you asking for too much and not giving enough?
BREAKFAST: Attention all students: The cafeteria is now serving free breakfast and lunch meals for all students every day until the end of December. You heard that right… free breakfast and lunch meals! All students automatically qualify and no form needs to be submitted. Take advantage of this program and join us in the cafeteria for your free breakfast and lunch each day that you are in school.
LUNCH: Students can drop off money for deposit in the morning to the breakfast cashier or Mrs. Cabrera. The money or check must be in an envelope with the student’s name and ID number. All funds will be deposited onto student accounts after the breakfast service. Cashiers will not accept cash during lunch.”
SAFE: It’s SAFE to Tell. The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. It’s now safer and easier to tell: just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find ONLINE in your guidance counselor’s resources folder. Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.” Thanks for being AWESOME!
