THOUGHT OF THE DAY: How many times have you sat in the bleachers and booed a football player who fumbled the ball? Or maybe you were a good sport and kept your mouth shut but said to yourself ,” what an idiot!” Theodore Roosevelt, our 26th president, was known as a person of action. He said: It is not the critic who counts ; not the man who points out how the strong men stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. the credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena.Today, remember this: If you are active, and doing your best- weather it’s with your studies or sports, or other activities – you deserve a great deal of credit for fully participating in the game of life. When you stumble, don’t let sideline critics discourage your efforts. Instead, give yourself a pat on the back for being in the game and not on the sidelines.
BREAKFAST: Attention all students: The cafeteria is now serving free breakfast and lunch meals for all students every day until the end of December. You heard that right… free breakfast and lunch meals! All students automatically qualify and no form needs to be submitted. Take advantage of this program and join us in the cafeteria for your free breakfast and lunch each day that you are in school.
LUNCH: Students can drop off money for deposit in the morning to the breakfast cashier or Mrs. Cabrera. The money or check must be in an envelope with the student’s name and ID number. All funds will be deposited onto student accounts after the breakfast service. Cashiers will not accept cash during lunch.”
SAFE: It’s SAFE to Tell. The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. It’s now safer and easier to tell: just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find ONLINE in your guidance counselor’s resources folder. Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.” Thanks for being AWESOME!
