Physical packets can be picked up from the main office or student services. PLEASE NOTE: There is an important change to the Sports Physical Process beginning with the Spring Sports Season of 2021: Any Student Athlete who has been confirmed positive for COVID-19 must obtain their sports physical from their primary care physician for a more complete examination as it relates to the potential effects of the COVID-19 virus. If a student does not have a primary care physician, parents are encouraged to contact the St. Luke’s Athletic Training Department for assistance in obtaining this physical. In addition, any student who contracted COVID-19 after June 1st of 2020 and already obtained a sports physical must be re-evaluated by their primary care doctor before resuming competition or returning to play a spring sport. If you have any questions please see Mr. Korcienski.
THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Have you ever thought about being an astronaut or a lawyer or a doctor and then you said to yourself “I could never do that. I’m not smart enough; or I’m not good enough.” Listen to Carmen Escalante’s prescription for success: Nothing is impossible if one sets goals, strives for and does his best. So who is Carmen Escalante? She’s a medical doctor who was raised in a small town in Louisiana and was the oldest of six children. Neither of her parents graduated from high school, but they always encouraged her to get an education. Dr. Escalante listened to her parents. She grew up and became a doctor at one of the world’s most famous cancer centers. This is what she tell to young people: You can do whatever you want to do. Nothing is impossible. SO listen to to the doctor’s advice and follow her prescription for success. If you do, anything is possible.
LUNCH: Do you bring your lunch from home? If you do, you can add a fruit, veggie and milk for free!!! That’s right! You can jazz up your lunch in the cafeteria with a fruit, veggie and milk for free if you bring your lunch from home. Bon appetit!!
SAFE: It’s SAFE to Tell. The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education. You can refer your friends or yourself. It’s now safer and easier to tell: just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find ONLINE in your guidance counselor’s resources folder. Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.” Thanks for being AWESOME!
